Designing a community-focused campaign to support youth initiatives in Ottawa
Process
Bold visuals that resonate with youth
The design direction focused on energetic and eye-catching elements to engage younger audiences while still feeling trustworthy to donors. I used a vibrant orange and blue color palette to symbolize optimism and growth, paired with black and white photography to represent real stories and community impact. A torn paper texture style added movement and a handmade feel, reflecting the idea that youth programs help shape and rebuild young lives. Campaign assets included posters, social media graphics, and a brochure designed to share the mission clearly across both print and digital platforms.
Result
A dynamic and relatable fundraising campaign
The final design delivers a balance of emotional storytelling and youthful energy. The strong colour contrast, layered textures, and bold typography help the message stand out, while the photography keeps the focus on real youth within the community. The campaign successfully encourages audiences to support the youth programs as well as the campaign event that empowers the youth.
